She's absolutely quiet, very gentle and tender, definitely mama's girl.
She is only 6 months old, but her past was not happy. Her tail is broken and one tooth is missing. When she came, she was very sick and scared.
Nevertheless, she did not give up. When I first heard her purring, it wasn't even a full purr. It was a timid attempt to purr. Now she purrs constantly, surprisingly loud for such a small girl, being thankful for everything she has.
It may take a few days for her to warm up, but if you move slowly, speak kindly and touch gently, she will gladly sit with you, sleep with you, play with you and cuddle. And she will respond cordially, stretching, squinting, and purring, purring, purring.
If you are away or busy, she will patiently wait, playing on her own or just laying, observing things around. She likes to watch TV, whether it is "human" movies, funny animal videos, or a special bird'n'squirrel video for cats.
She is attentive, curious, easily captivated. She discreetly explores the space around her and feels comfortable as soon as she is familiar with it.
She is clean and tidy. Once she understood limits, she will respect them. She knows her name, and will come openly if she trusts you.
She's still very cautious, and will retreat from everything unexpected: a sudden movement or sound, a new person, a new thing or object. But she's started to learn how to trust again.
She is very caress and sympathy motivated. She constantly needs confirmation that she's in an allowed place, is playing appropriately, doing right, and no one is angry at her. In the morning, it's clear that she missed people, and is happy to start a new day from reassurance that she's still loved, and everything is fine.
While relaxing, she will thankfully appreciate any petting or attention from her humans, as an "everything is good" sign.
She has a restful pace, and would prefer her human have a similar approach to life. I would imagine it to be an elderly, kind lady who would like to share her heart with someone in need. And Marceline will fully value it, radiating cheerfulness, being warm and cozy.
Help her, and she will help you.

Marceline was in my foster care for Nebraska Humane Society, and is available for adoption there. Her adoption fee is $100, + license ~$15 + microchip $5.
Feel free to text me if you need more details, want to see her video or have any question.
Thank you for reading. Please spread the word, if you can think of anyone.
