General description: Mariah is a solid safe cruiser, sleeps 6, has a dinette table, 3 fans, all LED lights, some new wiring, 6’2” headroom throughout.
Offshore vet (Costa Rica) and 5 yrs I Mexico, offshore rig and adequate storage.
The large stern Lazerette holds extra equipment, and the cockpit is sheltered by full side curtains with sewn on storage bags. The large cockpit is nice to dine in using the mahogany droptable. A full panel of gauges gives constant monitoring of engine state. The windmill and solar panels provide lots of electricity, supplementing the large engine driven alternator. Anchoring is secure wtih the large Bruce anchor holding well. The 2 speed manual winch is foolproof and was recently greased and found to be in very good condition. Mariah sails nicely and the roller furling and double reefing main set well. The side galley has a deep roomy icebox, and a SS sink with both electric and hand pump. Lots of drawers for the included pot and pans (ss) and all cutlery, plates, bowls, cups and napkins, towels and potholders. The under sink storage has a wing out knife rack with a set of good knives. The reliable 3 burner stove has a large oven perfect for pizza and nachos. Cooler days and evenings are offset by the Dickinson diesel heater forward. To increase cabin light the drop doors can be replaced with plexi door and plexi panel that cover the hatch opening. The Lewmarports open and have screens. Even the curtains are cute. The fully enclosed head has a mirrored cabinet and a 2 shelf cupboard. The sink in the head has both electric and a hand pump. Storage behind head for paper products and access to hoses and valves.
The forward berth is large and has 2 opening ports as well as large overhead hatch. Fully forward a teak hatch gives access to the chain locker and nav. lights. There is a hanging locker, tool storage area under the quarter berth, with 2 drop doors to access more storage. Hatches under the dinette seats open to more storage for food and equipment.
