This incredible sideboard and mirror was purchased from antique importer Stephen Thomas Antiques in Orange County California. This dealer told me that they searched throughout Italy to find the finest antique sideboards.
This one was imported directly from Italy to Stephen Thomas Antiques. I purchased it immediately, directly from them in about 1990. It is beautiful burl-wood in good condition. It has expected wear from age. The mirror attaches directly to the sideboard, or can hang above it, independently. The mirror shows some age and wear. It could be restored, if it was felt necessary. I have lovingly cared for these two incredible pieces since it’s arrival to the states. Unfortunately, when moving to Florida we downsized and very sadly we no longer have a space for it. This piece is a beautiful piece of history.
