"Penrod and His Twin Brother" (1938){DVD-R} I'm offering a transfer of my first hand UNreleased on Dvd SP Vhs save, from cable channel that aired movies commercial free, to Dvd-R, sent in a Dvd slimcase w/simple artsheet insert & FREE shipping includes USPS Delivery Confirmation tracking. PLEASE NOTE: Although I am lucky to have a first hand save of this UNreleased on dvd title, the vcr originally saved on wore out/was tossed years ago, and sometimes movies simply don't play as well on vcr not originally recorded on. Of the 5 vcrs I use, each a different brand with 4 heads and ability to adjust tracking, all played with some degree of tracking. After discovering which vcr played best on, I made a master dvd-r of movie while watching and adjusting tracking as it played, doing my very best to keep it at bottom where less intrusive. I have added screen cap pics showing how degree seen changes ... and ALSO there is a quick scene flash of stress lines... I do NOT offer titles that may have playback imperfections at a discount because require same amount of time & materials... in this case much more time & work. Instead I honestly disclose issues I notice so fans can decide if want to choose or not ... so since I am honestly disclosing, if you're the picky-persnickety type pleased only with absolute perfection, please pass ;) PLEASE NOTE UPDATE: happy to add that I bought an all region vcr (so I would have ability to transfer PAL format videos too) and discovered that it plays my troublesome tapes much better than my other vcrs so have made a new/better master Dvd-R to use for transfers :) AND BTW ... IF FAN OF PENROD FLICKS THE 1ST & 3RD IN THE SERIES HAVE BEEN 'OFFICIALLY' RELEASED ON DVD AND CAN BE FOUND AT AMAZON etc... HAVE NO IDEA WHY THIS 2ND FILM WAS DEEMED UNWORTHY BUT HAPPY I SAVED, SUCH A CUTE FILM :)

Synopsis :One of the Mauch twins' best efforts was Penrod and His Twin Brother, based loosely on the "Penrod" stories by Booth Tarkington. Actually, 14-year-old "All American boy" Penrod (Billy Mauch) isn't really the brother of tough kid Danny (Bobby Mauch), but they do look exactly alike, leading to trouble for Penrod when he gets blamed for Danny's misdeeds. Eventually, Pen and Danny team up to vanquish a common enemy: a gang of mobsters who've squirreled themselves away in a desolate hideout. Among the supporting players are two recent "Our Gang" graduates, Jerry Tucker and Philip Hurlic. Penrod and His Twin Brother did well enough to warrant a follow-up, Penrod's Double Trouble. {amg}
