Synopsis:
Throughout deserts of the world there are special places on or near a water source where a traveler may safely rest, meditate and reflect. They are generally considered as spiritual places and are thought to be gifts from God. Oases have seen significant battles; discoveries have been made and world-changing events have occurred there. At fictional Covington's Cave oasis, a change in the nature of our culture took place. It's not the moment of change--because we can never isolate that--but a defining moment where time reaches a point of no return, and society is irrevocably affected. A group of individuals meet here and are forced to react to change which completely affects their lives. A retired professor, a widower and her new-age daughter; her daughter's radical colleague; a famous London director and his actress friend, all want to sit back and wish things would always be the same, but they can’t be. The oasis of Cave Springs was long known to Native Americans; it was frequented as a camp and a water source. Here at Cave Springs occurred a moment when the kind of nation we were, clashed with the kind of nation we were becoming. Marc O’Bryan, the President of the United States accused of sexual misconduct, is forced to realize by his long-time political advisor that the country is no longer innocent. Together with his friend, Congresswoman Leslie Daniels, they discover their cherished beliefs of the past are no longer valid. The third oasis, Anasazi Canyon, was sacred. Medicine men of the various tribes believed that God walked in the Canyon and His voice could still be heard. Past history confirms that strange things happen within the confines of its space. Our story concerns two highly successful individuals: Hannah Koons, CEO of Hannah of London, and Dr. Adrian Egbert, a Park Avenue plastic surgeon, who are caught in the spell of the canyon. They are forced to redefine their goals, value systems, and their very nature.
Priority Mail shipping for this item costs $8.00 at the request of a buyer. Otherwise, the shipping rate given here applies to orders shipped via Media Mail within the U.S. only. Orders consisting of multiple purchases packaged together ship by any of these delivery methods at a discounted rate, usually for only $1.00 per additional item plus the shipping fee for the first item (determined to be the one with the highest delivery charge). Payment is expected within two weeks of placing your order for the first item within a shipment. Paypal is preferred, but money orders and checks (either personal or cashier's) are also accepted. Orders typically ship within 48 hours of PROCESSED payment, excluding weekends and holidays.
Inquiries from all shoppers are responded to promptly and courteously. Buyers are encouraged to ask questions prior to placing orders, as all sales are final unless the product you receive differs significantly from that which was advertised here in terms of either the product itself or its promised condition. In other words, "buyer's remorse" does not qualify for a refund. Exceptions are made only in the event that a buyer is willing to return at his or her own expense an unopened, BRAND NEW item for a refund of the original purchase price only. No original shipping costs will be refunded, unless we are at fault for sending you the wrong item or misrepresenting the product and/or its condition. This hasn't happened yet, but if it does: you are guaranteed a refund of the purchase price, the original shipping fee, PLUS the cost to ship the item back to us. In addition, we promise that no retaliatory feedback will be left for negative comments received on such transactions. We stand behind our service, and accept responsibility for any mistakes made.
