BLACK OPS (2008)
When a World War II-era battleship re-deployed to the Persian Gulf for black-op interrogations has fallen into radio silence, a Marine task force is sent to investigate...only to find everyone aboard murdered. An elite Marine task force, an NCIS investigator, and a pair of scientists is sent to investigate and report back on any abnormalities. Upon boarding the ship, the Marines are horrified to discover that nearly the entire crew has been ruthlessly slaughtered. But there are a few survivors, and they know that the man responsible for the butchery is a notorious terrorist who operates under the name Fadawi. And James Dixon (Jon Bernthal) is a cabbie who feels reasonably strong and confident about his future as a soldier until he meets Patricia (Elizabeth Moss), a college student who challenges his beliefs and assumptions about the war and each man's place in it. Day Zero was the first feature film from veteran editor Bryan Gunnar Cole, and received its world premiere at the 2007 Tribeca Film Festival.

DESERT SAINTS (2001)
In this offbeat thriller, a refined and well-educated hired killer has an unusual way of doing business: He finds women, forces them to help him with his murders, and then kills them before they can tell anyone about his work. With police detectives on his trail, the killer picks up a woman hitchhiking in the desert, planning to use her in his latest assignment: the murder of a drug kingpin in Mexico. But the killer discovers that his latest "accomplice" is not so eager to cooperate, and knows more than he imagines about his life of crime. Desert Saints stars Kiefer Sutherland, Melora Walters, Jamey Sheridan, and Leslie Stefanson.
