Synopsis:
A birthday party is the highlight of the year, and when it's VICTOR BORGE who is the guest of honor, it's SPECTACULAR. You have a front-row seat at picturesque Wolf Trap, the National Park for the Performing Arts, as Victor Borge's friends, complete with symphony orchestra and dazzling chorus, give Borge a birthday gala before a capacity audience of 15,000. Borge, in turn, reciprocates with his own brilliant blend of hilarity and beautiful music-making at the piano and in front of the orchestra. You'll roar as Borge weathers the elements inherent in their unique version of "Autumn Leaves". On the serious side, Maestro Borge leads the orchestra in selections from "Carmen", joined by the lovely soprano Stephanie Conts and the most famous of "Toreadors" Robert Merrill. Victor Borge provides piano accompaniment to Marylyn Mulvey's performance of "Caro Nome". Borge also offers an unforgettable rendition of "Claire de Lune". The world-famed Candian Brass are the icing on the cake with their special musical treatment of Bach's "Great Little Fugue in G minor" and the "Saints Hallelujah Chorus".
