GEMTEC currently has an opening for a Marine Inspector in Guysborough County (New Harbour), Nova Scotia, reporting to our Halifax office location. The successful candidate will have experience in general construction activities, materials testing and inspection services.

Educational & Experience Requirements:

Experience working in civil construction
Experience reviewing project drawings and specifications
Experience documenting as-built conditions and construction site activities
College level diploma and/or university degree is considered an asset

Main Duties:

Field inspection services and associated documentation for GEMTEC on PSPC marine projects (wharf construction, dredging, breakwaters, and other heavy civil marine projects);
Performing other related duties as required; and
Following all company Health, Safety and Environmental policies.

Position:

Contract. The position is a 3-month contract from February to April 2023
Providing proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 may be a condition of employment. Exceptions to this requirement will be considered on a case-by-case basis in relation to local health guidelines and/or client requirements/regulations.
Must have a valid driver’s license
