Hi! My name is Nina. As a fulltime RN and a mother of 2 small kids, 5-year-old and a 8-year-old, I have had to compromise time with my children over and over again, for work. My husband works as a caregiver at night. He as well has sleepless days attending to our kids when I am at work. Physically and emotionally, keeping up was impossible with our daily schedule. The daily grind kept us apart from what mattered most- our family. We never took long vacations as it requires both of us to sacrifice our salary for other important necessities in our household and for our families in the Philippines. I love my job, but the cost of living here also in California is very expensive. I realized that by simply working hard as a regular employee will not allow me the time to be with my family more nor create the better life I know we could have. I wanted to help my families back home in the Philippines, and I am missing a lot of time being with my kids while they are small. Every day when I go to work, my kids ask me if I should rather be home with them. It hit me hard and I thought, I have to WORK SMARTER. I knew something had to change.

So, I asked myself, what can I do to help secure our finances without getting myself another employment and still spend time with my family? And would still allow us to enjoy the things we like to do as a family? That will allow us to see places we love to visit someday? We have never been out of the country to visit other countries besides the Philippines to travel to. To be travelling with them will be a dream come true! We also love to garden, to do fishing—we love the outdoors! So HOW?

A blessing came when I was troubled and praying for the best for my family. So, I ventured on a DIGITAL BUSINESS where I can work at my OWN PACE in my SPARE TIME. A lot of healthcare workers, nurses like myself, and even Doctors have joined and are successful while doing this part time. The business owners I have seen in our community own their own time and they get to bond more with their families. This is the QUALITY OF LIFE that we all wanted to have. I myself wanted to spend more time with my family, travel and have fun! We wanted to garden more, travel and see Europe and more of Asia!
