Synopsis: In this children's adventure, the children of a small town are enthralled by the tales of the town drunk. The story centers around the odd-ball boozer's friendship with one little girl who disobeys her spinster aunt's edict and goes to listen to the stories. The drunk's life changes after he discovers a buried treasure. He must kill a man in self-defense after the stranger attacks him for the goods. The poor little girl must testify against her friend. They are involved in a chase in which the girl careens around in her aunties Rolls Royce. After the chase everyone settles down and justice is served. The film contains two songs "I'm the Captain's Kid," and "Drifting Along." {amg}
