The Brady Brides was the second of a long line of revivals (following The Brady Bunch Variety Hour) centered around the Bradys, the sitcom family from The Brady Bunch. Marcia and Jan Brady become engaged at the same time--Jan to Phillip Covington III (a stuffy, old-fashioned professor) and Marcia to Wally Logan (a wild and carefree toymaker). After the girls get married in a double wedding, they each find that they cannot afford to buy a house, so they decide to split the costs and buy a house together, which sets the stage for this spinoff.
