Snowflakes are not just for Christmas any more. I designed this afghan because snowflakes are my favorite winter theme, as well as my favorite Christmas theme. The idea haunted me and I designed the afghan and then had to wait for the inspiration for the border. I did not want to do just a "single crochet around the out side edge". The border is a unique design of my own, which duplicates the slip stitch joining of the motifs. As well as the pattern for the two different snowflake hexagon motifs, there are instructions for half-motif fillers on the long edges, so you will not have those big gaps between the hexagons. The afghan is made with worsted weight yarn.

Finished afghan measures about 45" by 61".
