Fenders are an important body part of a car that surrounds the wheel and its primary use is to prevent sand, mud, and other road waste from being thrown in to the air at other vehicles or pedestrians. Positioned as they are at the leading edges of your vehicle, fenders are susceptible to stone chips and road debris as you travel, “fender bender” accidents, and rust through from dirt, rain, and debris (and snow and road salt in northern climes) thrown by the front tires.
