This JET JML-1014VS lathes features a 1/2HP TEFC (totally enclosed fan cooled) motor (115V only) that delivers its power smoothly and consistently. Mounted directly below the bed, the motor is out of the way but easily accessible from the front for belt tensioning. With this variable speed version in addition to the variable speed control on the front, there are three adjustable speed ranges using the belt/pulley combinations . That gives you a speed range from about 500 to 3900rpm. It has a 10" swing over the bed, with a 7-1/2" swing over the tool rest. The distance between centers is 14”. This lathe comes with several accessories including faceplates, live center, spur center, tool knock out, magnetic parts tray, and a variety of tool rests. The owner’s manual is included.
