Quilt Summer Fun with Sunbonnet Sue and Overall Sam 061410Q
The name of this quilt is Summer Fun w/Sunbonnet Sue and Overall Sam. It was home crafted using the design of Eleanor Burns Sunbonnet Sue Visits Quilts in a Day.

The size is 61.00in x 49.00in. The fabrics are 100% cotton. The batting is 100% cotton Soft and Crafty brand. The fabrics were not pre-washed and the item has not been washed.

There is minimal quilting on the Sunbonnet Sue/Overall Sam block. The actual applique is sewn around using a blanket stitch and then stitched 1/8" or so around the applique. The borders have been quilted using an edge to edge stipple stitch in yellow thread.

The sashing around the blocks has been stitched in the ditch. Please notice that the sashing fabrics of each block match the hat.

The backing is the same as the outside border. The binding which is the same fabric as the back and outside borders has been sewn using a decorative machine stitch.

I am a long time sewer, crafter, quilter who can't sew much after breaking my wrist with the result being severe nerve damage. The quilts are unused, unwashed. They were made as a learning experience to teach myself how to make as many traditional quilt patterns as I could. They have been stored in minimal light, folded on shelving in a smoke and pet free environment.
