Cryolipolysis: What is it and how does it work?
Cryolipolysis is a term many people use to describe a range of treatments like body sculpting or non-surgical liposuction. Scientific studies have shown cryolypolisis effectively kills fat cells in a targeted area at the time of treatment. Our cryolipolysis treatments freeze your fat cells, targeting problem areas that can be resistant to diet and exercise. Cryolipolysis works by utilising the body’s natural response to cold temperatures. Fat cells are more sensitive to cold than other cells in the body, and when cooled to the correct temperature, crystallise and die. This does not affect any other cells in the body. After your cryolipolysis treatment is complete, your body will naturally collect the damaged fat cells and eliminate them. This is why you can safely complete a fat freezing treatment without any downtime, unlike more traditional liposculpture procedures.
