Check out what some of our Family Support Group members are saying! Our group is on Wednesdays at 6pm central over zoom and is FREE for those dealing with a loved one's addiction.
We'd like to thank everyone who attended our Family Support Group a week ago with guest, Laura Parrott Perry! We had an amazing evening of learning and sharing our experience, strength, and hope. Check out Laura's bio below.
Laura Parrott Perry is passionate about working with individuals seeking to find recovery from substance use disorder, and to helping families of those struggling with addiction pursue their own parallel path to healing. As a person in long-term recovery who has had many loved ones battle addiction, she comes to this work with the deepest compassion, having been all the people at the table.
She was co-founder and CEO of the non-profit, Say It, Survivor from 2015-2023, an organization dedicated to helping survivors of childhood sexual trauma reclaim their stories as part of the path to healing.
As a Certified Life Coach, one of Laura’s areas of specialty is working with clients to help them identify, communicate, and honor healthier boundaries. She is passionate about the power of boundaries to support recovery and healing in all areas of our lives, and her approach is rooted in love and connection.
Laura is the author of two books: She Wrote it Down; How a Secret. keeper Became a Storyteller and Homeward; how one woman embraced being lost to find her way home. New York Times Best-Selling author, Glennon Doyle, said of Homeward: "In walking home to herself - finding her own safety, healing, and rebirth - Laura Parrott Perry shares her poignant account of the greatest love story there is: falling in love with the truth of ourselves." She is currently at work on her third book.
